“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life.”

– Naeem Callaway

Life can be difficult.  People we love hurt us.  Intentionally, or unintentionally, we hurt them.  We let each other down.  Our children who are meant to be our greatest joy sometimes are a source of unimagined worry or pain.  At times it may appear that our life has not turned out how we believed it should have.  This realization can feel lonely, be confusing and cause us tremendous damage.  The truth is, very few people go through life unscathed.

Having a safe person and a healthy, trusting relationship with an experienced therapist can help you make it through the rough times.  Within this trusted relationship, you can gain a better awareness of yourself and your individual situation, all the while obtaining tools to navigate through the difficulties that lie ahead or were in the past.  Having the right tools and knowing how to use them, allows a person to grow into a more loving, caring, courageous and alive version of oneself.

As a licensed therapist, I work with adults, teens, children and families who are in transition or crisis.   While working with children and teens, I believe it is essential for the success of the treatment to include the parents in the treatment process. I believe in order to achieve healthy growth and development, there needs to be a strong, loving and nurturing relationship between children and their parents.  This is especially challenging during the teen years, but it is possible!  In my work, I strive to help families build and strengthen their relationships.

Childhood Problematic Sexual Behavior

Possessing almost a decade of experience working with children with problematic sexual behavior (ages 5-12) I have found to have great success using the Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-School Age Children module (PSB-CBT-S) as a first approach when assisting my clients.   In addition to PSB-CBT-S, I incorporate trauma therapy if needed, to help support in the …

Individual and Family Therapy For Adults, Teens and Children

As a therapist, I utilize multiple different therapeutic approaches when working with my clients.  Therapy is never a “one size fits all” discipline, I find it useful to engage in multiple therapeutic modules, depending upon my client’s needs, or their progress in therapy.  Successfully, I have incorporated components of…
